Arts & Crafts

Material Girls
Material Girls meet on the second Thursday of the month at 1:00 p.m. at the clubhouse. We bring sewing machines and make various projects for ourselves and charity. On the fourth Thursday a machine embroidery group meets at the home of Marguerite Rose.

Quilting Friends
Quilting Friends is a group of beginning and experienced quilters who meet monthly on the third Thursday of each month at 1:00 p.m. at the clubhouse. Come to learn new quilting techniques and to share ideas.

Robson Ranch Stampers
Robson Ranch Stampers create quality greeting cards for all occasions. Our cards have unique features--they “POP,” slide, move and sparkle. They delight people of all ages. Gift items we make include bookmarks, notepad covers, gift bags, and ornaments. We also support community events. Our club is open to new and experienced stampers and we meet on the third Saturday of each month at 10:00 a.m. at the clubhouse.

Cards & Games

Daytimers’ Domino Club
Daytimers’ Domino Club meets each Wednesday from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Clubhouse. There is a one-time-only fee of $5.00 for each new member. The most popular game played is Mexican Train, followed by Moon (resembles 42) and draw dominoes (count). Come join us for an afternoon of friendly competition.

Euchre Card Group
Euchre is a social game. Players meet at various houses on the second Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. We have lots of fun, fellowship, food, and some card playing. If you don’t know how to play, we will teach you!

Inside Straight Poker Club
Our poker club is fun for men and women. We play poker in the clubhouse (Medina and Bandera Rooms) from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. We play Dealers Choice the second Tuesday of the month. The third Tuesday of each month we will be playing Texas Hold ’em only. We will have a Texas Hold ’em Tournament the fifth Tuesday of every month. Open to all Robson Ranch residents. Annual dues from May 2006 to May 2007 are $5. Dues are subject to change after May 2007.

Just For Fun Bunco
Join us every third Sunday each month 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the clubhouse. Anyone can play! Bunco is a fun, easy, and a sociable dice game played with tables of four people.

Ladies’ Afternoon Bridge
We play informal Party Bridge for fun. No partner is needed, open to all levels of play. We meet the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month at 1:00 p.m. at the clubhouse. There is a one-time membership fee of $3 and a per session fee of .50 cents.

Ladies’ Game Night
This is a large group that meets in private homes to play assorted games including dominoes, cards, parlor games, etc. Each hostess announces through the HOA the location of the current game night. Guests bring their choice of snacks, dessert, wine, coffee, or soft drinks.

Mah Jongg Group
Mah Jongg is an exciting game played with 152 tiles. A card is used with various combinations for participants to try to win a game. A new card is issued each April with new combinations, which keeps the game interesting and exciting. We meet at the new clubhouse at 1 p.m. every Monday. Play starts at 1:00 p.m.

Robson Ranch Couples Bridge
This is a group for bridge players in groups of two. Call if you are interested in playing. Singles, find someone to play with and join in the fun! We play on the second and fourth Thursday evenings of the month at the clubhouse.

Line Dancing
Line Dancing at Robson Ranch is now in its fourth year. Our class meets on Thursday evenings at 6:00 p.m. Join us then for great music, exercise, a relaxed atmosphere, and good fellowship.

The Music Club sponsors a variety of musical opportunities for the community throughout the year, one of which is the Robson Ranch Choir and they present three programs a year. Membership is open to anyone interested in music.

Golf

Couples Sunday Afternoon Golf
Four-person 9-hole scramble in a fun and relaxed social golf setting. After play, the group meets at a player’s home for “Afterglow” with each couple bringing an appetizer and beverage. Call the Pro Shop before Sunday to sign-up. Sunday afternoon starting times vary with the seasons.

Robson Ranch Women’s Golf Association (RRWGA)
Weather permitting; the Robson Ranch Women’s Golf Association (RRWGA.) has a weekly Ladies’ Play Day every Tuesday for all levels of golf (9-hole, 18-hole, and Novice). The Association’s objective is to compete and have fun on the golf course. The last Tuesday of each month is our monthly general meeting and luncheon, where we socialize and conduct general business.

Walk Away The Pounds
This is a walk-in-place exercise program that is done at an individual pace to recorded exercise DVD’s. Schedule: Monday-Thursday, walking can be done up to 3 miles in one class hour. Friday walking can be done up to 4 miles in one class hour. Hours: Monday-Friday, 7 a.m., 8 a.m. or 9 a.m. Saturday walking can be done up to 5 miles in one hour and fifteen minutes; classes are only held at 8 a.m.

The Robson Ranch Computer Club provides workshops, online training, guest speakers, and social events that enable all residents to share knowledge and interests about ever-changing technology. Our goal is to have fun with our “gadgets” and to share this fun with others.

Robson Rovers RV Club
The Robson Rovers RV Club is a club formed by residents of Robson Ranch who have RVs. The purpose of the club is to get together with people who like to RV. The club tries to go on a weekend trip at least once a month and to plan other longer trips throughout the year. You must own or rent an RV to belong to the club. The dues are $15 per year. The club meets once a month on the first Monday to discuss our trips and for fellowship.

Robson Ranch Catholic Community
RRCC provides a forum through which the Robson Catholic community develops increased spiritual fellowship, provides support to community members in times of grief or hardship, and fosters service projects to surrounding parishes. We welcome both RR community members and employees. Meetings are held monthly except June, July and August. Bible study and study groups will begin 2008.

Breast Cancer Support Group
Any women previously or currently diagnosed with breast cancer are invited to participate. We meet monthly for support and continuing education. We meet in various members’ homes on the third Monday of each month

CPR Classes

Kiwanis Club
Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time. The principles of serving others in need are reflected in various programs found throughout the community. Our own Kiwanis Club of Robson Ranch, chartered in January, 2008, is growing with over 40 members and meets the first and third Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. in the Medina Room at the Clubhouse. Come visit a meeting and see the fellowship and commitment of these men and women who are making a difference in our community helping others in need.

Mentor Program At Borman Elementary School
Helping children at Borman Elementary School become better students and citizens through mentoring. Join us each Thursday morning from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., as we ride the yellow bus to school. It’s time for us to give back to our city and community.

Pet Finders Of Robson Ranch
We are a volunteer group of animal lovers who have banded together to form Pet Finders.  If you discover that your pet has gotten out of the fence, darted out the door when you opened it, or is just missing, please call any of us on the list and we will help you to the best of our ability. The best chance of survival for your pet is an immediate response so please contact us as soon as you discover your pet is loose or missing. The objectives of the club are to promote the principles of the Republican Party, promote and encourage good government at all levels, conduct candidate forums and other political activities, and support the Denton County Republican Party. Support Our Troops, Inc. is a non-profit volunteer charitable organization that helps provide for the material, physical, and emotional needs of our military men and women at home and abroad. Nicknamed “Romeo,” (Robson Old Men Eating Out) we gather at 9:00 a.m. on the third Tuesday of each month at a local restaurant for breakfast and fellowship, providing an opportunity to meet fellow neighbors and develop new friendships.

This club focuses on helping our members get to know others interested in gardening, to learn what to plant and how to have it thrive in Denton. The Garden Club is open to men and women who enjoy learning the latest and greatest gardening info and tips. Touring some of the beautiful gardening sites in the area provides added fun. Meetings are held at 10:30 a.m. the third Monday of the month at the clubhouse.
